San Diego began as a remote Spanish mission city and later came to be dominated by navy and marine bases.   The focus of San Diego seems to be ever changing, and each change adds to the city’s complexity and attractiveness.  Its year-round perfect climate also helps lure people to its many historic attractions.  Embrace the laidback lifestyle of this coastal city, and discover the heart and soul of Southern California, stroll down boardwalks, visit the world-renowned San Diego zoo's Safari Park, Take a harbor sailing, or dip into the lively craft beer scene.

From the first Spanish Mission founded by the “Sacred Expedition” in 1776, to the rip-roaring days of the Barbary Coast and California Gold Rush to rising phoenix-like after the great earthquake of 1906, San Francisco never ceases to please the eye, the heart and the palate. With such iconic sites as Chinatown, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Victorian architecture of Pacific Heights, Union Square, colorful trolley cars, Muir Woods and the surrounding vineyards of Napa and Sonoma Valley, the “City by the Bay” is always a must-see on any visitor’s list to the West Coast.

June 28 - Astoria, Oregon

Founded as Fort Astoria in 1810 as the trading post for John Jacob Astor’s American Fur Company, this is near the wilderness explored by Lewis & Clark, too. A look into the past is enjoyed on strolls past restored Victorian homes and explorations of the revitalized 1920’s-era downtown. Astoria`s natural beauty is as renowned as its history, with its "Little San Francisco” character set against the steep, wooded hillsides of a temperate rain forest.

June 29 - Portland, Oregon

8 AM to 6 PM

An emblem of the American West, Portland is tucked between the rolling hills of the Tualatin Mountains, and the banks of the Willamette river. Immerse yourself in the city’s captivating energy, where art and music thrive and food culture is celebrated with renowned breweries and an abundance of tantalizing food carts. Delve into the region's rich history, tracing the footsteps of pioneers along the Oregon Trail and experiencing the remnants of a progressive countercultural scene.

June 30 - Victoria, Canada (Overnight)

Discovered by Captain Cook over two centuries ago, the lovely city of Victoria has successfully nurtured its English ambiance and heritage. Wonderful legacies are preserved with bright red double-decker buses and the delicious tradition of high tea. Shops brim with tartans, china, silver and antiques. From the landmark Empress Hotel to the impressive Parliament Buildings, city streets are filled with gracious architecture. A glorious profusion of colorful flowers abounds within the hanging baskets on every lamppost and at the world-famous Butchart Gardens. Victoria is an atmospheric city which brims with old-world charm.
