The Star of India, the world’s oldest active sailing ship, is just down Harbor Drive and serves as part of the city’s Maritime Museum. Although the Gaslamp Quarter is also historical, its Victorian-style buildings now house so many trendy shops, restaurants and nightclubs that the quarter has become the ultimate after-dark destination.
