A spectacular, serrated skyline of soaring towers and neon lights, Hong Kong is a vibrant, immersive metropolis and cultural hub. Dramatic harbor-front light shows transform the waterfront’s gleaming buildings into a colorful canvas – best seen from the ship, when the Symphony of Lights blares into life each evening. Many elaborate temples add a tranquil element to Hong Kong’s whirr, and Tin Hau temple has a surprisingly urban location, considering its dedication to the Goddess of the Sea. The famous Hong Kong street markets are filled with many choices and incredible bargains.

Among Taipei’s culinary delights are Taiwanese 'small eats' called xiaochi and the city’s famed beef noodle soup.

Packed with picture-perfect beaches, Ishigaki is the gateway to the Yaeyama archipelago, the southernmost and westernmost inhabited islands of Japan. Admire the colorful fish and flourishing coral reefs of Kabira Bay aboard a glass-bottom boat before enjoying panoramic island views from the Tamatorizaki observatory or Hirakubozaki Lighthouse. The islands of Taketomi, Kuroshima and Kohama make for fantastic day-trip destinations, all of which can be explored by bicycle within a few hours.
